Test Automation Engineer Senior

Context

Join a project team responsible for implementing a new planning management solution supporting the digital transformation of the Belgian railway ecosystem. The role focuses on ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing, contributing to reliable and scalable applications that support modern and sustainable rail mobility. The client company has been anonymized.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain UI and API automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium and ReadyAPI
Develop reusable automated test scripts
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Azure DevOps
Execute regression, smoke, integration and end-to-end automated tests
Perform API testing and contract validation
Design and execute functional, SIT, E2E and regression tests
Identify, document and track defects using Jira, XRay and Azure DevOps
Maintain testing documentation and follow QA standards
Support UAT, smoke, sanity, exploratory, performance, database and cross-browser testing
Collaborate with developers, QA engineers and business stakeholders
Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint demonstrations

Technical skills

Must have

10+ years of software testing experience
5+ years in test automation
3+ years with Playwright or Selenium
Strong experience with automated and manual testing
Experience with ReadyAPI, Postman or similar
Proficiency in Java, TypeScript or Python
Experience with Jira, XRay or Azure DevOps
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Professional English (B2 minimum)
Fluent French or Dutch (C1 minimum)
Ability to work onsite in Belgium 2 days per week
