Security Architect

Context

The role aims to translate strategic cybersecurity directives into concrete technical architectures ensuring security, compliance, and resilience across IT, OT, cloud, and network environments. The position is critical in supporting the protection of vital infrastructures and ensuring business continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve the target security architecture (Security by Design, Privacy by Design)
  • Define security standards, models, and architectural principles
  • Integrate multiple domains (IT, OT, cloud, network, ICAM, data, cryptography)
  • Conduct risk assessments on systems, applications, and infrastructures
  • Identify threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies
  • Maintain a consolidated risk overview across environments (SAP, AI, IoT, etc.)
  • Contribute to governance and security architecture committees
  • Ensure compliance with frameworks (ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR, IEC 62443, NIST)
  • Support project teams in integrating security requirements
  • Participate in RFI/RFP and solution design phases
  • Monitor evolving threats, technologies, and regulations
  • Drive continuous improvement of security posture and resilience

Technical skills

Must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years in cybersecurity architecture or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of frameworks (ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR, IEC 62443, NIST, CyFun)
  • Experience in complex environments (IT, OT, Cloud, ERP)
  • Expertise in security domains (network, IAM, cryptography, monitoring)
  • Experience with architecture modelling tools (e.g., ArchiMate)
  • Fluency in Dutch or French and English (C1 level)
  • IEC 62443 certification

Should have

  • Master’s degree
  • CISSP certification
  • Experience with SAP security integration
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust and Cloud Security
  • Experience with XDR, SIEM, and detection/response

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, SABSA
  • Experience with AI security and generative models
  • Experience in critical infrastructure environments
