Context

An international financial institution is looking for an Agile Product Owner to lead the evolution of its Professional Credits product for business clients. The role focuses on maximizing business value, aligning stakeholders, managing the Product Backlog, and ensuring successful Agile delivery within Scrum teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Professional Credits product vision and roadmap.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications.
  • Manage and continuously prioritize the Product Backlog.
  • Define Sprint priorities with the Development Team.
  • Ensure stakeholders remain aligned on product objectives.
  • Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies.
  • Make functional decisions and arbitrate product priorities.
  • Adjust Sprint Backlog when necessary.
  • Ensure product consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with business and technical teams.

Technical skills

Must have

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Product Owner experience.
  • Strong expertise in Agile methodologies and Scrum.
  • Experience with Project Management.
  • Experience with Budget Management.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Strategic thinking.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Leadership capabilities.
  • Negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Structured and quality-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent English and at least one local language (Dutch or French).

Should have

  • Experience within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Experience delivering products for business clients.
  • Product ownership certifications.
  • Business analysis knowledge.
  • Workshop facilitation experience.
  • Design Thinking knowledge.
  • Innovation methodologies.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of the BNPP Group.
  • Knowledge of the department’s business environment.
