.NET / Sitecore Technical Lead

Context

As a Technical Lead, you will take ownership of the software architecture within an active delivery environment and ensure that the solution being built remains aligned with the intended design. You will translate high-level architecture into actionable technical designs for development, infrastructure and third-party teams, while safeguarding code quality, reuse, security, performance and scalability. You will also play a key role in shaping requirements, resolving dependencies, improving delivery tooling and raising the technical level of the development team.

Responsibilities

Own and maintain the software architecture throughout delivery, including managing deviations and technical debt.
Protect the integrity of the codebase by reducing duplication, maximizing reuse and keeping the solution modular and maintainable.
Review new development work to ensure existing components and functionality are reused wherever possible.
Define and enforce measurable standards for security, performance and scalability through quality gates, static analysis, review checklists and architecture decision records.
Translate high-level solutions from the Solution Architect into detailed designs that development, infrastructure and third-party teams can execute.
Ensure implementation complies with enterprise technology, infrastructure and security standards.
Adapt technical designs based on non-functional testing results.
Work with the Technical Product Manager and QA Lead to shape user stories into executable development work.
Challenge technical assumptions and help identify the best available solution.
Identify dependencies across systems, teams, vendors, data and infrastructure early and drive them to resolution.
Improve development environments, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, preview environments, logging and monitoring.
Coach developers through pairing, code reviews and technical walkthroughs.
Promote knowledge sharing and reduce single points of failure within the team.
Act as the technical point of contact for other teams, third parties, the Project Manager and UX Designer.

Technical skills

Must have

Minimum 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer or Solution Designer within a delivery team.
Demonstrable production experience with Next.js, React and TypeScript across at least two projects.
Demonstrable production experience with Sitecore in a headless setup.
Professional experience with .NET 8 or higher for backend services.
Availability to work onsite at least 2 days per week.
C1-level English proficiency or equivalent, both spoken and written.

Should have

Strong experience enforcing software architecture within an existing product or solution, including managing technical debt and maximizing code reuse.
Production experience with Sitecore technologies such as XM Cloud, Headless Services/JSS, Content SDK and Experience Edge.
Strong understanding of frontend rendering strategies and performance optimization with Next.js, React and TypeScript.
Experience with Azure hosting, environment management and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to shape requirements before development begins and identify dependencies early enough to avoid delivery blockers.
Experience coaching development teams through code reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing.
