The AI Architect plays a central role in the design and delivery of the RIO MVP solution within MLOZ.
The position oversees the end to end architecture, including the application landscape, SharePoint migration, unified data model, extraction pipeline, RAG layer, compliance, security, and delivery governance.
The architect ensures technical consistency, alignment with business requirements, and coordination with all relevant MLOZ stakeholders.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
• Define the complete architecture for the MVP, covering ingestion, storage, metadata management, RAG/LLM flows, search engine, and validation tools.
• Translate business needs into a clear and actionable delivery plan, including risks, KPIs, and prioritization.
• Guide AI/ML teams and engineering teams throughout the implementation phase.
• Integrate GDPR, EU AI Act, ISO 42001, Azure security practices, and overall project governance into the solution design.
• Ensure alignment between technical decisions and user experience expectations.
• Lead and facilitate technical decision making workshops and arbitration sessions.
Secondary Tasks and Responsibilities
• Support documentation of architectural choices, standards, and best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and architecture governance.
• Assist in onboarding team members regarding architecture principles and project guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and security/compliance teams.
• Provide expert review and validation of technical deliverables.
15+ years of experience in architecture, digital transformation, or delivery of complex enterprise projects.
Proven expertise in AI solution deployment, including LLM/RAG architectures, data pipelines, and cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of GDPR, EU AI Act, ISO 42001, and security frameworks, particularly on Azure.
Solid experience with enterprise and data architecture (7+ years each).
Experience with SharePoint migrations, metadata models, and enterprise data structuring.
Agile methodology experience (5+ years).
Architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF, CITA, EACOE, Certified SOA Architect or equivalent).
ITIL Foundation certification with practical experience.
Strong internal communication skills (5+ years).
Experience with architectural modeling, system integration, and solution design.
Strong leadership skills to guide multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication abilities to translate complex technical topics into business decisions.
Structured, analytical, and strategic mindset.
Experience in project, program, or portfolio governance (e.g. PRINCE2).
Certifications in AI, cloud security, or advanced project management.
Experience contributing to enterprise-wide architecture standards.
Background in continuous improvement of delivery and governance frameworks.
