Functional Analyst (Medior)

Context

As part of a major Smart Grid programme, the organisation is continuing the implementation of its Smart roadmap while addressing regulatory obligations. The programme covers the delivery and evolution of Smart communication-chain solutions, new business and regulatory capabilities, optimisation of digital meter deployment processes, integration of systems involved in the meter lifecycle, Smart data management and regulatory reporting.

The Functional Analyst will act as a transversal techno-functional analyst, bridging business needs and IT delivery teams while ensuring a coherent end-to-end view across multiple functional and application domains.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into functional and techno-functional requirements.
  • Analyse business requirements and identify impacts across the different systems involved.
  • Perform gap analyses between business requirements and existing capabilities.
  • Define and document target processes and interactions between systems.
  • Consolidate a global view of target solutions across SAP, GIS, Web, BI and related systems.
  • Structure and maintain the product backlog, including epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify dependencies, impacts and risks across initiatives.
  • Support prioritisation and ensure consistency of requirements with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Prepare the functional elements required by delivery teams to support development and testing.
  • Support functional validation and acceptance testing.
  • Ensure end-to-end consistency of implemented processes and solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with business experts, architects, functional analysts and application teams.
  • Consolidate domain-specific analyses into a coherent transversal solution view.

Technical skills

Must have

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Medior-level Functional Analyst / Business Analyst profile.
  • Demonstrable experience in requirements analysis.
  • Proven experience in techno-functional analysis of IT solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in environments integrating multiple applications and systems.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across business and technical stakeholders.
  • French C2 level.
  • English B1 level.

Should have

  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies and backlog management.
  • Experience with modelling tools.
  • Demonstrable experience with modelling techniques such as UML and BPMN.
  • Experience in Energy, Utilities or Smart Metering.
  • Ability to understand and model complex transversal processes.
