The Functional Analyst plays a central role in translating business needs into well-defined, cost-effective IT solutions. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, the role focuses on identifying problems, analysing requirements, evaluating costs and benefits, and designing detailed functional solutions that can be integrated into the enterprise production environment, in line with architectural, security, and strategic standards.
Accompany business analysts and clients in the reflection towards appropriate solution options, proposing alternatives aligned with enterprise architecture and strategy
Ensure adoption and understanding of enterprise rules and standards (architecture, security, etc.)
Collaborate closely with architects to define and validate solution architecture
Act as a key relay between clients, business analysts, project managers, product owners, and asset teams
Translate business requirements into detailed functional requirements during elaboration phases
Define functional responsibilities across involved assets and applications
Design applications and analyse impacts on existing components
Align with technical teams to specify implementation requirements
Follow up on development and testing to ensure alignment with functional specifications
Support suppliers during development, integration, and assembly testing
Analyse defects during testing and coordinate resolution
Support release and deployment activities across environments
Provide post-production support, analyse incidents, coordinate solutions, and maintain documentation
Operate effectively in an Agile context where preparation, elaboration, and construction are combined within sprints
At least 6 years of relevant experience as a Functional Analyst or similar role
Strong functional and technical knowledge of existing IT systems
Practical experience working with Scrum and Agile projects
Knowledge of analysis methodologies aligned with enterprise standards
Sound knowledge of English and at least one local language (Dutch or French)
Strong analytical skills with a rigorous and methodical approach
Excellent communication skills and a strong team mindset
Experience working in complex enterprise or large-scale IT environments
Ability to adapt quickly and work pragmatically in changing contexts
Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Knowledge of the banking domain and related technical environments
