Our client is seeking an Expert IT System Administrator to operate within a highly secure environment. All work must be performed onsite at the VSSE, with no possibility of remote work. The role requires a seasoned professional with at least ten years of experience, strong expertise in Microsoft and virtualization environments, and the ability to work in a multilingual and security-sensitive context.
Administer and maintain Windows-based infrastructures.
Manage and optimize VMware environments.
Configure, automate, and troubleshoot systems using PowerShell scripting.
Oversee configuration management through Microsoft SCCM.
Support Exchange and LDAP-related operations.
Apply ITIL practices within daily processes.
Contribute to Zero Trust and EDR-related initiatives.
Collaborate within Agile teams and contribute to team coaching when required.
Minimum 10 years of proven professional experience.
Belgian nationality.
Possession of a Top Secret security clearance, or willingness to obtain one.
Full onsite availability at VSSE (no remote work possible).
Native Dutch or French speaker with good knowledge of the other national language.
Active knowledge of English.
Confirmed to expert-level experience in: Agile, Coaching/Team, EDR, Exchange, ITIL, LDAP, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Windows, PowerShell scripting, VMware, Zero Trust.
Experience with Docker (nice to have but mentioned).
Experience with Linux environments.
