Software Engineer Mobile

Context

A confidential organization is evolving its mobile application into a scalable and platform-oriented digital ecosystem. The Senior React Native Engineer will help design and develop reusable mobile foundations, ensuring consistency, maintainability, and seamless integration capabilities across iOS and Android environments.

Responsibilities

Design and develop mobile platform capabilities using React Native and TypeScript
Build modular and reusable mobile components
Contribute to the evolution of a platform-oriented mobile architecture
Ensure consistency across iOS and Android applications
Implement platform integration mechanisms
Develop reusable UI components within the Design System
Ensure quality, accessibility, usability, and consistency across mobile experiences
Apply software engineering best practices and coding standards
Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
Implement automated testing strategies
Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Improve application performance, stability, and maintainability
Collaborate with architects and backend engineering teams
Contribute to proof-of-concepts and MVP initiatives
Support validation of platform capabilities and integrations

Technical skills

Must have

Proven experience as a React Native Developer, Mobile Engineer, or Software Engineer
Strong expertise in React Native
Strong expertise in TypeScript
Experience developing and maintaining production mobile applications
Good understanding of iOS and Android platforms
Experience integrating REST APIs
Understanding of mobile architecture patterns
Experience with automated testing practices
French or Dutch proficiency (at least one mandatory)
Professional English proficiency
Ability to work on-site in Anderlecht at least 2 days per week after onboarding

Should have

Experience building reusable UI components
Experience contributing to Design Systems
Knowledge of application performance optimization techniques
Strong problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
Experience participating in architecture discussions
Ability to challenge technical decisions constructively

Nice to have

Experience contributing to Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
Experience working on MVP initiatives
Exposure to platform transformation programs
Experience supporting platform integrations and validation activities
