Operational Endpoint Engineer

Context

Join a dynamic endpoint operations team responsible for managing the full lifecycle of approximately 3,000 endpoints supporting 1,500 users. The role focuses on endpoint deployment, troubleshooting, asset lifecycle management, supplier coordination, and continuous operational improvement within an enterprise environment. The client company has been anonymized.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incidents and service requests related to endpoint lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot Windows operating system, hardware, and peripheral issues.
  • Coordinate hardware repairs with external vendors.
  • Provide professional support to internal users.
  • Escalate complex technical issues when required.
  • Stage physical and virtual endpoints.
  • Maintain and improve staging procedures.
  • Support onboarding by delivering ready-to-use devices.
  • Manage returned equipment throughout its lifecycle.
  • Perform secure data wiping on returned devices.
  • Coordinate repairs, disposal, warranty, and redeployment with third-party suppliers.
  • Update CMDB and asset lifecycle records accurately.
  • Manage supplier returns.
  • Monitor hardware stock and trigger replenishment requests.
  • Maintain an organized staging environment.
  • Contribute to documentation and operational runbooks.
  • Propose continuous process improvements.

Technical skills

Must have

  • Minimum 3 years of Windows endpoint administration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong experience with endpoint imaging and provisioning.
  • Experience troubleshooting PC hardware and peripherals.
  • Knowledge of SCCM staging and/or Microsoft Intune.
  • Practical experience with asset management and CMDB.
  • Basic PowerShell skills or strong willingness to learn.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch or French.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Service-oriented mindset.
  • Team player.
  • Curious and eager to develop endpoint expertise.

Should have

  • Experience supporting large enterprise endpoint environments.
  • Experience coordinating hardware suppliers and warranty processes.
  • Experience contributing to operational documentation and process improvement.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Microsoft Autopilot provisioning.
