Program Manager

Context

The organization is preparing a major transformation of its current SAP ECC environment towards a new ERP solution. The future ERP technology has not yet been selected and is currently under assessment. The Senior IT Program Manager will lead the European public procurement process for the selection of both the future ERP solution and its implementation partner, and will subsequently manage the end-to-end ERP transformation. The role also covers other strategic business–IT projects, test management, change management, project governance and PMO reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead the transformation of the current SAP ECC environment towards a future ERP solution.
Define and manage the European public procurement procedure for selecting the future ERP software and implementation partner.
Manage the ERP transformation programme, including migration, transition and business process standardization.
Coordinate multiple strategic business–IT projects.
Identify, monitor and support the integration of key-user requirements across strategic projects.
Manage project scope, planning, resources, budget, risks, issues and dependencies.
Establish comprehensive test management based on the organization’s defined testing methodology.
Coordinate change management activities with business stakeholders and the Change Management team.
Ensure appropriate training and adoption for end users.
Support the PMO with systematic project reporting, capacity planning, budget monitoring and timeline management.
Establish and maintain project governance in line with organizational expectations.
Use Jira and TOPdesk for project tracking and governance.
Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001 and NIS2 requirements.
Coordinate activities involving SAP ECC, SAP IS-U, Geode, WinDev, M365, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate and SAG solutions.

Technical skills

Must have

Senior-level experience as an IT Program Manager.
Expert experience managing large ERP transformation programmes.
Expert knowledge of SAP ECC.
Expert knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
Proven experience managing complex ERP migrations and transitions.
Proven experience managing European public procurement procedures for the selection of ERP software and an implementation partner.
Expert project management capabilities across Agile, Waterfall and Scrum environments.
Expert knowledge of PRINCE2.
Proven experience in IT transformation projects.
Strong experience managing scope, planning, resources, budgets, risks and issues.
Experience implementing project governance and PMO reporting.
Experience coordinating ERP-related change management and end-user training.
Full professional proficiency in French.
Full professional proficiency in Dutch.
Full professional proficiency in English.
Availability for a full-time assignment.
Ability to work on-site in Brussels at least three days per week, potentially on non-consecutive days.

Should have

Advanced experience in test management.
Advanced knowledge of BPMN.
Functional and technical understanding of SAP ERP solutions.
Experience with alternative ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or Odoo.
Experience working with business key users in complex organizational environments.
Knowledge of GDPR, ISO 27001 and NIS2 requirements.
Experience using Jira and TOPdesk.
Experience working in a public-sector or regulated procurement environment.

Nice to have

Experience with SAP IS-U.
Experience with M365 solutions, including SharePoint, Power Apps and Power Automate.
Experience with Geode.
Experience with WinDev.
Experience with SAG solutions.
Experience in the utilities or water sector.
