Within a major strategic transformation program (Grant/Legislative Changes), the organization is seeking an Expert Enterprise Architect to design and maintain an integrated and consolidated application architecture. The goal is to ensure sustainable quality, reusability, and optimal exploitation of applications that support transversal core processes. The architect will take a leading role in shaping and governing the application landscape in close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
Define and maintain an integrated application architecture aligned with strategic programs.
Lead the identification and structuring of applications, components, and functions supporting transversal processes (Grant).
Develop and maintain a product catalog and logical application landscape, including interdependencies.
Ensure the continuity and evolution of architectural deliverables to meet organizational needs.
Contribute to the design of intermediate and target architectures at both program and enterprise levels.
Support strategic decisions through impact analyses, scenario modeling, and information synthesis.
Participate in business cases, RFPs, and proof of concept initiatives.
Collaborate on transformation roadmaps, including dependencies, risks, and priorities.
Monitor the architectural quality of IT solutions with architects and project teams.
Promote and apply Application Architecture standards across teams.
Coach and support architects, project managers, analysts, and developers in applying architectural principles.
Mentor junior architects in developing architectural maturity.
Proven experience in IT Architecture Governance and Application Architecture.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills for impact analysis and decision-making.
Ability to assess legacy systems and design migration and integration plans.
Solid technical background to collaborate effectively with IT experts.
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Strong communication, structure, and planning abilities.
Experience in change management and guiding organizational transformations.
Collaborative mindset with a cross-domain perspective.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Certifications or strong knowledge of TOGAF and ITABOK.
Hands-on understanding of .NET and Java ecosystems.
Demonstrated autonomy and result orientation.
Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
Experience in the public sector.
Knowledge of pension systems or the Belgian social security framework.
Experience preparing governance maturity roadmaps or application landscape optimization slides.
