Senior Cybersecurity Coordinator

Context

A major public transportation organization is strengthening its cybersecurity governance and compliance framework. The role supports the IT Security department by coordinating cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring alignment across teams, managing a cybersecurity project portfolio, and supporting the implementation of security policies and regulatory requirements, particularly within a NIS2 program.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor a cybersecurity program across multiple business entities.
Manage and organize a cybersecurity project portfolio within a NIS2 framework.
Support operational teams in implementing security policies and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to the translation of security policies into actionable security directives.
Monitor and follow up security action plans.
Provide regular reporting on project progress and risk coverage.
Develop clear and effective security dashboards.
Ensure consistency and alignment across cybersecurity initiatives.

Technical skills

Must have

Minimum 5 years of IT project or program management experience.
Strong cybersecurity expertise.
Expert knowledge of ISO 27000 series standards (ISO 27K).
Experience managing multiple projects or project portfolios.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats and risk management.
Knowledge of security technologies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Native or bilingual proficiency in French or Dutch.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Should have

Experience supporting regulatory compliance initiatives.
Experience in cybersecurity governance programs.
Knowledge of NIS2 requirements.
Experience producing executive-level reporting and dashboards.
Stakeholder management experience.

Nice to have

English language skills.
Experience within large enterprise environments.
Experience in public sector or transportation environments.
Knowledge of CyberFundamentals (CyFun).
