Cyber Security Strategy & Project Manager

Context

An international financial organization is seeking an experienced Initiative Owner to define and execute its cyber security strategy. The role focuses on translating strategic objectives into a prioritized portfolio of initiatives while ensuring alignment with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and Group security standards. The successful candidate will work closely with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive enterprise-wide cyber security transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain cyber security strategic roadmaps.
  • Translate strategy into prioritized initiatives, projects, and investments.
  • Lead cyber security initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Manage portfolio priorities, milestones, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with Group teams to deploy standard security solutions.
  • Engage senior stakeholders and executive management.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and communication materials.
  • Identify and resolve delivery impediments.
  • Ensure compliance with Group standards, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the evolution of security governance frameworks and procedures.

Technical skills

Must have

  • Master’s degree.
  • 10+ years managing IT and/or cyber security projects or programs.
  • Strong experience in Information Security Governance.
  • Project Management certification (PRINCE2, ITIL or equivalent).
  • Change Management certification (ADKAR or equivalent).
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent French.
  • Fluent Dutch.
  • Fluent English.
  • Proven stakeholder management across multiple business functions.
  • Experience managing complex portfolios and cross-functional initiatives.

Should have

  • Experience leading large IT transformation programs.
  • Experience within the financial services industry.
  • Agile delivery experience.
  • Security risk management expertise.
  • Executive reporting experience.

Nice to have

  • CISSP certification.
  • CISA certification.
  • CRISC certification.
  • Experience improving governance frameworks.
  • Experience with enterprise cyber security roadmaps.
