Our client, a major European transmission system operator active in Belgium and Germany, plays a crucial role in ensuring a reliable and sustainable electricity supply. As part of a strategic infrastructure environment supporting the energy transition, you will join the Group Server Team (Windows) to maintain and operate critical Windows and Citrix environments.
Working alongside internal teams and other consultants, you will contribute to building a green, secure, and high-performing IT infrastructure that supports essential energy operations.
Provide second-level support for Windows and Citrix server environments
Manage daily operations (80% Windows / 20% Citrix)
Investigate and resolve environment or user-related incidents escalated by the helpdesk
Operate and maintain a highly available Citrix infrastructure (Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Workspace App, Director, Studio, Profile Management, NetScaler on-premises)
Ensure system reliability, security, and performance
Collaborate with a team of 6 engineers and support staff
Document procedures and contribute to operational process improvements
Work according to strict deadlines and operational constraints
Proven experience in Citrix environments (Virtual Apps and Desktops, Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Director, Studio, NetScaler on-premises) – medior level
Proven experience with Windows Server 2016–2025 – medior level
Strong understanding of networking and security principles
Experience in second-level IT operations support (operator mindset, not architect role)
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently
Fluent in English and native-level proficiency in either Dutch or French
Team player with strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Customer-oriented mindset
Driver’s license, car, and mobile phone
Willingness to work beyond standard 9-to-5 hours when required
