Context

Join a highly visible digital banking tribe responsible for delivering seamless customer experiences across multiple mobile and web banking channels. The role focuses on developing high-quality Android applications used by millions of banking customers while working within Agile Scrum teams in a collaborative software craftsmanship environment.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into high-quality Android code.
  • Design, build and maintain reliable Kotlin applications.
  • Develop modern Android applications using Jetpack Compose and Material 3.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
  • Write unit tests and apply Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Ensure application performance, quality and responsiveness.
  • Identify bottlenecks and resolve bugs.
  • Maintain clean, reusable and maintainable code.
  • Contribute to Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes.
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Technical skills

Must have

  • Minimum 6 years of Android development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Kotlin.
  • Proven experience with Jetpack Compose.
  • Knowledge of Material 3 Design.
  • Strong understanding of Clean Code principles.
  • Experience with Android SDK and Android libraries.
  • Practical experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of Git (GitLab or equivalent).
  • Experience with Jenkins.
  • Experience with SonarQube.
  • Experience with Fortify.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent English and at least one local language.
  • Agile mindset.

Should have

  • Scrum experience.
  • Experience working within large development teams.
  • Pair Programming experience.
  • Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing mindset.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.

Nice to have

  • Docker.
  • Containers.
  • Groovy.
