Context

The Machine Learning Engineer is responsible for industrializing AI solutions by designing, deploying, and monitoring production-ready machine learning pipelines. The role bridges Data Science and IT Production, ensuring ML models are scalable, reliable, and fully integrated into enterprise environments while following software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to design production-ready ML solutions.
  • Define serving architectures based on business and technical requirements.
  • Build and automate ML pipelines for deployment.
  • Develop Docker images and deployment packages.
  • Prepare unit, regression, and integration tests.
  • Support Data Scientists in using existing CI/CD and AI platform solutions.
  • Assist IT Production teams with production environment configuration.
  • Monitor deployed ML services from technical and business perspectives.
  • Automate model retraining when required.
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and operational performance of AI services.

Technical skills

Must have

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced Python
  • Containerization / Virtualization
  • AI platforms & IDEs
  • GitLab CI/CD
  • Code, model and data versioning
  • Package and dependency management
  • PostgreSQL
  • Agile methodology
  • English (mandatory)

Should have

  • Experience with distributed or mainframe integrations
  • ELT / ETL tools
  • Apache Spark or other Big Data tools
  • Data flow processing
  • Data visualization tools
  • Model compression techniques
  • Dutch (plus)
  • French (plus)

Nice to have

  • Experience working in complex enterprise production environments
  • Knowledge of MLOps best practices
  • Exposure to AI service monitoring and automated retraining
