Context

An international organization is strengthening its cloud-based data platform to support data integration, advanced analytics, business intelligence, and machine learning initiatives. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable cloud data architectures while ensuring reliable data delivery across multiple business domains.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, consolidate and prepare data for data initiatives.
  • Develop, build and maintain cloud data architectures on AWS and/or Azure.
  • Translate IT strategy into scalable cloud architecture.
  • Capture and formalize business requirements.
  • Produce clear technical specifications and implementation plans.
  • Assess technical risks and define mitigation strategies.
  • Develop technical documentation and user guides.
  • Collaborate on system integrations.
  • Perform solution testing and quality assurance.
  • Document project outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Promote software development best practices.
  • Coach and support team members.

Technical skills

Must have

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of Python, Spark, Hive and Big Data technologies.
  • Solid SQL skills.
  • Professional experience with AWS and/or Azure.
  • Experience with ETL solutions.
  • Experience with orchestration/scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK or ARM Templates).
  • Agile mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English.
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Azure Data Factory.
  • Microsoft Fabric.
  • AWS Step Functions.
  • CI/CD knowledge.
  • Kubernetes.
  • Airflow.
  • Business Analytics.
  • Data Science.
  • French and/or Dutch.
  • ITIL Foundation.
