Context

The client is building a new high-availability PostgreSQL platform and is looking for a senior Technical Lead to design, operate, and continuously improve the database environment. The role also ensures service continuity for existing Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer and Microsoft SQL Server platforms while supporting long-term database strategy and operational excellence

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate a high-availability PostgreSQL platform.
  • Manage replication strategies.
  • Define and implement Disaster Recovery solutions.
  • Manage backup strategy using Veeam.
  • Automate deployments and lifecycle management using Ansible.
  • Provide L3 database platform support.
  • Define database standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the database roadmap.
  • Deliver knowledge transfer to internal teams.
  • Ensure operational continuity of Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer platforms.
  • Ensure operational continuity of Microsoft SQL Server environments running on VMware.

Technical skills

Must have

  • Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL
  • Advanced experience with Oracle
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Senior Database Administrator experience
  • High Availability and Replication expertise
  • Disaster Recovery experience
  • Backup management using Veeam
  • Ansible automation
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in French or Dutch
  • Good knowledge of the second national language (French or Dutch)
