Senior Functional Analyst

Context

The client is looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to support the evolution, maintenance and quality assurance of business-critical web and mobile applications within the energy sector. The role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and development partners, ensuring that business requirements are translated into functional solutions aligned with the overall IT architecture and application landscape.

Responsibilities

Analyze business needs and gather requirements from stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops and discussions to identify and validate solutions.
Define functional solutions aligned with the IT architecture and end-to-end application landscape.
Act as the interface between business teams and development partners.
Produce functional analyses and functional design documentation.
Follow the full development lifecycle using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Perform functional analysis using UML and Enterprise Architect.
Review and challenge technical solutions proposed by development partners.
Coordinate, develop and execute test plans.
Manage and oversee quality assurance activities.
Support application deployment and implementation activities.
Maintain functional and reference documentation.
Manage applications in collaboration with developers.
Analyze, document and follow up on defects and incidents.
Provide second-line support for production incidents and problem management.

Technical skills

Must have

Minimum 10 years of experience as a Functional Analyst.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the IT or digital sector.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Tester.
Proven experience within the energy sector.
Strong experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing web applications.
Experience with SQL and database querying.
Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
Experience with XML, Web Services, APIs and/or SOAP.
Experience with MIG.
Strong knowledge of UML and its application in functional analysis.
Fluent English (B2 minimum).
Fluent Dutch or French with reading and understanding capabilities in the second national language.
Ability to provide precise and meticulous analyses.
Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

Should have

Experience in mobile application management (iOS and Android).
Minimum 5 years of experience in technical analysis.

Nice to have

Knowledge of or experience with ITIL.
Professional experience related to energy transition challenges.
