Cybersecurity Change & Resilience Lead

Context

We are looking for a Senior Security & Resilience Lead to drive high-priority cybersecurity and resilience initiatives in a complex, high-visibility environment. This role focuses on execution rather than coordination, with direct ownership of strategic topics such as resilience planning, cybersecurity capability uplift, risk mitigation, tooling assessments, and RFP development.

The position requires an autonomous, structured, and fast-moving professional who can translate complex requirements into tangible business outcomes while engaging senior stakeholders across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of strategic security and resilience initiatives across different topic areas
Translate regulatory, technical, and risk requirements into practical deliverables
Write and coordinate Request for Proposal (RFP) documents aligned with business and compliance needs
Engage stakeholders across Security, IT, Legal, Risk, Procurement, and Business Units to ensure alignment and execution support
Design and drive disaster recovery and business continuity planning initiatives, including test coordination
Identify inefficiencies or derailments in ongoing initiatives and bring them back to a structured, results-driven path
Deliver high-quality communication materials such as slide decks, status reports, risk summaries, dashboards, and executive briefings
Support the adoption of NIS2, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and internal cybersecurity and continuity policies
Manage interactions with third-party vendors and service providers
Coach and challenge teams across departments to improve accountability, delivery quality, and security posture

Technical skills

Must have

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent
At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, continuity, or transformation topics
Experience in regulated or critical infrastructure environments
Proven ability to lead through execution rather than hierarchy
Strong experience writing and managing RFPs, including vendor evaluation and internal alignment
Experience recovering, realigning, and executing complex initiatives under pressure
Familiarity with NIS2, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and public-sector regulatory environments
Ability to create structure in ambiguous environments and drive clarity
Fluency in Dutch, French, and English, both written and spoken
Immediate availability on 01-Jun-2026
At least two certifications among project management, change management, cybersecurity, or IT audit certifications, or equivalent

Should have

Experience with executive-level communication for Board, CISO, or Audit Committee audiences
Strong stakeholder alignment and escalation management capabilities
Experience with data-driven tracking and reporting
Expertise in crisis readiness and continuity planning
Strong discipline and independent drive
Turnaround leadership experience in complex organizational settings

Nice to have

PRINCE2, PMI/PMP, or similar project management certification
ADKAR or similar change management certification
CISM, CISSP, ISO 27001, CISA, CRISC, or similar cybersecurity / audit certifications
