Cloud Engineer (Lux)

Context

Our client is looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer to implement and optimize cloud infrastructure solutions in a secure, automated, and hybrid environment.

The mission focuses on translating architecture into scalable technical implementations, strengthening governance and security, and supporting business performance through Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, identity management, networking, and cloud operations.

The consultant will also work across multiple technical teams and follow delivery milestones tied to screening, interviews, and final selection.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Azure infrastructure solutions based on architectural designs and technical blueprints.
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Bicep and ARM templates.
  • Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD and orchestration.
  • Design and implement release pipelines using YAML templates, variable groups, Azure App Configuration, release gates, and approval workflows.
  • Manage Microsoft Entra ID services, including Cloud Sync, Azure AD Connect, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Administrative Units, Entitlement Management, Cross-Tenant Sync, and B2B/B2C.
  • Configure and manage Enterprise Applications, including App Registrations, APIs, SSO, OpenID Connect, and OAuth 2.0.
  • Configure Active Directory Domain Services and Kerberos authentication for hybrid environments.
  • Deploy and manage Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage, File Storage, Key Vault, and Cosmos DB.
  • Deploy and operate Azure compute and integration services, including Virtual Machines, Web Apps, APIs, Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
  • Implement governance and compliance controls through Management Groups, Landing Zones, Azure Policies, and Azure Tags.
  • Configure and secure networking components such as NSGs, Azure Routes, Front Door, Application Gateway, WAF, Azure DNS, Private DNS, Virtual WAN, Site-to-Site VPN, Private Links, and Private Endpoints.
  • Apply advanced security controls with Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
  • Secure access, monitor, and troubleshoot virtual networks and cloud resources.
  • Manage data protection and support security compliance requirements.
  • Configure, monitor, collect, and analyze telemetry and operational data from cloud resources.
  • Perform planned maintenance on cloud infrastructure when required.
  • Control the creation of new resources, whether manual or automated, in line with architecture and design standards.
  • Contribute to the optimization of cloud architecture for business continuity, security, and performance.
  • Document activities and follow up tasks in Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.

Technical skills

Must have

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services across compute, networking, storage, identity, and data.
  • Solid hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, Azure DevOps, and orchestration.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and automation frameworks.
  • Good knowledge of identity management, security, high availability/disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple technical teams while maintaining high security standards across the IT landscape.

Should have

  • Azure Network Engineer Associate certification.
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate certification.
  • Experience working in hybrid identity and infrastructure environments.
  • Exposure to release governance, approval processes, and enterprise-grade cloud operations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ServiceNow task follow-up and operational coordination.
  • Experience supporting vendor-driven delivery processes and structured assessment timelines.
  • Additional exposure to architecture optimization for performance and business resilience.
