Cloud Engineer Azure Resource Tagging (Lux)

Context

Our client is looking for an Azure consultant to support a project focused on tagging both existing and new Azure cloud resources.

The mission covers the definition, implementation, and enforcement of Azure tagging policies across business applications, application services, and the integration layer.

The consultant will also help standardize delivery by creating templates and pipelines that allow teams to apply predefined tagging rules consistently.

Responsibilities

Perform manual tagging of Azure resources linked to business applications, application services, and the integration layer
Define Azure tagging policies aligned with governance requirements
Create templates and pipelines so teams can apply predefined tagging in line with approved policies
Enforce tagging policies across Azure environments
Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD and orchestration
Design and implement release pipelines using YAML templates, variable groups, Azure App Configuration, release gates, and approval processes
Deploy and manage Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Web Apps, APIs, Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, and Service Bus
Document activities and follow up tasks in Azure DevOps and ServiceNow

Technical skills

Must have

3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles
Microsoft Azure Administrator certification
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert certification
Strong experience with Azure tagging and Azure tagging policies
Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templates
Proven experience building and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD and orchestration
Experience designing and implementing release pipelines

Should have

Experience with Azure App Configuration, release gates, approval processes, and variable groups
Experience deploying and managing Azure services including VMs, Web Apps, APIs, Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, and Service Bus
Ability to document work clearly and track tasks in Azure DevOps and ServiceNow

Nice to have

Experience working in structured enterprise governance environments
Ability to support teams in adopting standardized tagging templates and policies
