Développeur Java senior

Context

The client is seeking a senior Java Developer to join its Disability department following a team member departure. The role focuses on developing and maintaining digital solutions aimed at automating customer support processes for health insurance providers.

Responsibilities

Develop or adapt applications based on functional and business requirements
Translate business analysis into technical architecture and code
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to validate functional analysis
Write high-quality code following agreed standards
Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) practices
Perform integration testing in Agile environments
Document software and technical solutions
Identify issues and propose optimal solutions
Assess impact of changes on existing systems
Ensure quality assurance and testing processes
Write and execute test scenarios
Document test results and resolve issues
Contribute to continuous improvement practices
Coach and train team members

Technical skills

Must have

Expert in Java
Strong experience with MQ, IIB (ACE), Web Services
Solid experience in IBM environments
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies
Experience with object-oriented programming
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Minimum 5+ years of experience
Fluent in French and Dutch (one native, one proficient)

Should have

Experience with JIRA and SVN
Knowledge of SPARX or similar tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in coaching or mentoring team members
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently

Nice to have

English proficiency
Experience in health insurance or similar sectors
Exposure to process improvement initiatives
