An independent energy infrastructure group is looking to strengthen its Network Team to support a large-scale, business-critical IT and OT environment operating 24/7 across several European countries. The team is responsible for designing, securing, operating and modernising network infrastructures, from data centres to cloud connectivity. The mission supports strategic projects such as WAN modernisation, cloud integration and secure connectivity for industrial and office environments.
Operate within a team supporting company activities running 24/7
Prepare, execute and document network changes in IT and OT environments
Participate in the deployment, operation and maintenance of network systems
Support colleagues in Belgium and other European locations
Contribute to network projects (data centres, cloud connectivity, WAN modernisation)
Work across multiple networking domains including routing, switching and security
Background in computer science
Perfect command of Dutch or French and fluent English
In-depth firewall expertise, Checkpoint mandatory
Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, ISIS, MST, etc.)
Experience with cloud technologies
Experience with Python and/or Ansible for automation
Knowledge of TACACS and RADIUS servers
Knowledge of backend tools for monitoring, NAC and central syslog
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Willingness to take part in a standby role (max. 1 week out of 4)
Driving licence and own car
Ability to travel to Belgian sites when required
Experience in mixed IT and OT environments
Familiarity with Cisco networking ecosystems
Experience supporting international teams or multi-site environments
Knowledge of Juniper technologies
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
Exposure to tools such as Zabbix, Elastic or Cisco ISE
