For our client (company name anonymized), we are looking for an Azure Cloud Architect to translate business requirements into robust cloud designs aligned with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and the Cloud Adoption Framework. You will design and guide secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective Azure (including hybrid and on-prem) architectures, supporting migration and modernization initiatives while ensuring governance, compliance, and business continuity planning.
Translate business requirements into architecture designs aligned with Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework
Design data storage solutions for relational and non-relational data
Define high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity (BCP/DRP) strategies and architectures
Design identity, governance, and monitoring solutions
Design compute and network solutions (including hybrid connectivity)
Design application architecture and data integration approaches
Design infrastructure solutions and reference architectures
Provide technical support during implementation phases (proof-of-concepts, pilots, testing)
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
Define and maintain architecture blueprints, reference models, and design patterns for cloud services
Enforce architectural standards, policies, and governance frameworks
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to automate provisioning and deployments
Lead cloud migration and modernization projects
Ensure best practices for Azure resource management, security, and compliance
Integrate security best practices (identity management, access control, data protection)
Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and IT teams to gather requirements and provide guidance
Document architectures and provide technical guidance
Use tools such as Azure DevOps and ServiceNow to track tasks, incidents, and changes
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO) and internal security policies
Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve performance, security, and cost-efficiency
Explore and integrate new Azure and O365 services to enhance business capabilities
Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure cloud, hybrid, and on-prem architectures and related infrastructure
Deep knowledge of Azure services: compute, storage, networking, security
Strong cloud security architecture experience (IAM, encryption, compliance in regulated industries)
Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud networking, and hybrid cloud architectures
Experience with cloud architecture frameworks and patterns
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code: ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform
Strong understanding of security, identity, and compliance in Azure
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, including explaining complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
High autonomy, initiative, and accountability
