Starting in March 2026, the mission focuses on Pega-based solutions that power several critical applications such as SAMPO (financial aid management), SCARA, SOLUCE, and PROXIM-IT. The selected consultant will join the SAMPO team as a Senior System Architect Pega, contributing to the continuous improvement and scaling of this transversal platform used across multiple departments.
The consultant must be available to work on-site in Namur three consecutive days per month as part of a hybrid working arrangement.
Define and maintain the architecture of the SAMPO business application in collaboration with the ACM platform architect.
Identify reusable transversal components and ensure their integration.
Translate functional requirements into Pega technical solutions, proposing alternatives when relevant.
Align proposed solutions with Pega best practices and technical architecture.
Ensure compliance with non-functional requirements (performance, fault tolerance, error handling).
Develop, configure, and document Pega components, interfaces, and UI functionalities.
Conduct unit testing and support QA processes.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily, sprint planning, retrospectives, refinements).
Collaborate closely with functional analysts, product owners, and developers.
Estimate analysis and development efforts, and proactively report risks or blockers.
Mentor junior Pega developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Pega Senior System Architect certification (mandatory).
Experience in the Belgian public sector (mandatory).
Willingness to work on-site in Namur three consecutive days per month (mandatory).
Minimum 2 years’ experience with Pega version 8 and Pega Cosmos Theme v4.
Proven experience in Agile environments (Scrum).
Strong skills in Pega PRPC and layer cake architecture (complex applications with >10 case types).
Proficiency in French (C2).
Experience with Deployment Manager setup and configuration.
Knowledge of PDC (Pega Diagnostic Cloud) and its use for performance monitoring.
Hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, FTP, and HTTP integrations.
Familiarity with security models RBAC and ABAC.
Prior use of JIRA in an Agile project setting.
Background in UI/UX within Pega Cosmos environments.
Previous exposure to public sector subsidy management systems.
Experience mentoring teams in Agile maturity improvement.
Understanding of ESB, GED, IAM integrations and transversal frameworks.
