Our client is accelerating the digitalization of a national rail operator’s Operational Planning & Competencies domain. As Program Manager, you will own one or more end-to-end software delivery programs—aligning scope, time, budget, and quality—to prepare the rail organization for an efficient, high-performing future
Oversee stakeholder needs; consolidate inputs and drive scope validation with governance boards.
Define staffing needs; co-create solution strategy and implementation plan.
Monitor and manage delivery after final-gate validation; ensure meticulous, multi-angle reporting (functional, architectural, financial, process).
Lead by example and promote company values (Professionalism, Respect, Openness to entrepreneurship, Sense of collaboration).
Communicate clearly up/down stream; negotiate across levels to reach durable decisions.
10+ years as Program Manager for software delivery projects.
8+ years in train planning software implementation.
Proven expertise with (inter)national & local railway infrastructure and timetabling, incl. interfaces to infrastructure providers/external operators and international standards.
SAP implementation & interfacing expertise (≥5 years), especially SAP HR and SAP PM/MM.
Solid grasp of SDLC; acquainted with DevOps and underlying architecture/infrastructure components.
Professional proficiency (C1) in Dutch, French, and English.
University degree in ICT or Electronics (or equivalent experience).
Mastery of project frameworks (PM², PMBOK, SAFe, Agile) and ability to tailor them.
Positive, hands-on leadership with helicopter view; strong upstream/downstream communication.
Negotiation skills to formalize discussions into lasting decisions.
