You will join a large-scale digital transformation project for a major European energy transmission operator active in Belgium and Germany. Within the Digital Workplace – Communication domain, the mission focuses on securing and stabilizing enterprise communication platforms, including corporate websites and employee-facing portals. Working alongside internal teams and other contingent workers, you will contribute to building a secure, reliable, and future-ready digital infrastructure that supports the transition toward Sitecore XM Cloud while ensuring operational continuity on legacy platforms.
Maintain and stabilize the existing Sitecore XM 10.2 platform until cutover to XM Cloud
Implement and continuously improve secure development practices for Sitecore and .NET
Perform vulnerability scanning, patching, and remediation for Sitecore instances, pipelines, and modules
Conduct regular code reviews with a focus on performance, scalability, and security
Optimize platform performance through caching, database tuning, and CDN/WAF improvements
Enhance observability via monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Application Insights, Azure Monitor)
Participate in SLA/OLA definition and in incident and change management processes
Ensure coexistence readiness with XM Cloud, including content parity validation and cache/purge coordination
Support the feature freeze policy on legacy XM 10.2 environments
Stay current with web security standards, Sitecore patches, and .NET frameworks
Document all technical and security changes in line with governance and audit requirements
Support project teams working on the migration to Sitecore XM Cloud
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Sitecore back-end development with a strong security focus
5+ years of professional experience with C# / .NET
Proven hands-on experience with Sitecore XM 10.2 (installation, configuration, pipelines, patching, performance)
Strong knowledge of web application security principles (OWASP, CSRF, XSS, encryption, secure headers)
Experience with on-premises Sitecore XM 10.2 and manual deployment procedures
Experience with SQL Server performance tuning and Sitecore content delivery scaling
Practical experience with DevOps & CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
Excellent command of English (written and verbal)
Knowledge or hands-on experience with Sitecore XM Cloud
Experience with WAF/CDN solutions (e.g., F5, Azure Front Door, Cloudflare)
Experience with observability tools such as Application Insights, Seq, Kibana, or similar
Strong collaboration skills with architects, DevOps, and IT security teams
Strong documentation skills aligned with enterprise governance standards
Knowledge of Dutch and/or French
Understanding of TOGAF 10.2 and architectural documentation practices
Prior experience in large, regulated or critical-infrastructure environments
